About Us

Ottawa 67’s AA Mission Statement

Our mission is to develop young female hockey players so that they may reach their highest potential at all age groups. Our focus is on coaching and mentoring these players with the goal of developing and shaping their hockey skills, their character, and their ability to work within a team towards a collective goal. We endeavour to provide a safe environment where every player has a memorable and positive experience while competing in our hockey program.

Program Overview

The Ottawa 67’s AA is a high-performance female hockey development program. The goal is to attract and develop girls with the potential to become elite players as they move through their minor hockey career. The ultimate objective is to have the player continue playing at the university level in the US or Canada.

Our program is partnered with Canadian Strength Institute, a premier training, nutrition, and rehabilitation facility that helps our athletes reach peak performance. Their resume includes PWHL, NHL, OHL, NCAA, and CFL teams and athletes. CSI is integral to ensuring our 67's are game ready all season long.

The program spans four levels;

U13AA

The U13AA team utilizes a hybrid model between the OGHA and 67's leadership. Players entering this program will have the opportunity to develop with the use of 67's resources and will learn about the process of becoming a Jr. 67 through mentorship activities with the U22 team.

U15AA

Players entering the program at the U15 level will have the opportunity to develop and grow through a specific plan of on-ice and off-ice activities, in addition to call-up opportunities to the U18 and possibly U22 practices and games. From the U15 level players can then move to the U18 level, or depending on their development, move directly to the U22 level.

U18AA

Players at the U18 level will benefit from on-ice and off-ice activities, in addition to call-up opportunities to U22 practices and games. Their next development goal is to reach the U22 level.

U22AA

The Ottawa Jr. 67's inaugural season was in 2015-2016. They joined the Junior Women's Hockey League (JWHL) in the teams third year (2017-18) where they finished 2nd in regular season play and made the top four in the 2018 OWHA U22 Provincials. The team has since joined the Ontario Women's Hockey League (OWHL) U22-Elite governed by the Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHA). The OWHL U22-Elite was formed in 2021 to include all U22 Junior teams in Ontario, including those previously in the PWHL, and is the premier league in North America for U22 Junior hockey. The Ottawa Jr. 67's played a 40 game regular season schedule in the OWHL U22 Elite in 2022-23, making the quarter finals of the Group 2 playoffs and qualifying for the 2023 OWHA Provincials.
